It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And our wonderful animals can make a terrific addition to our decorations for Christmas.
Animals can add to the joy of what’s already a joyful time of year. Whether it’s through tree ornaments, wall hangings or lawn decorations, they’ll add color and character.
Some may be traditional favorites while others can be quite surprising (a manatee on a Christmas tree?) But you’re sure to find something you like here and it will draw admiration and help bring happiness to your home!
Forest Friends Christmas Ornament Set
Animals themselves are cute – but when we talk about baby animals, there’s nothing that can compete!
This cute set of 6 tree ornaments features 6 different animal babies – a raccoon, a deer, a fox, a porcupine, an owl and a squirrel. What a great set, and they go so perfectly with your evergreen!
Each piece measures about 4 inches by 3 inches. The attached string for hanging them is about 3 1/2″ (total in the loop).
These are actually embroided plush with a high level of attention to detail. 4 inches by 3 inches; hanging string 3.5 inches long.
The figures aren’t 3D in the sense of being full-depth. However, the back of the ornament shows the other side of the animal; it’s not the same as the front but it does have an image.
These are also great for baby showers or young child birthday parties. They serve great as gift tags, too!
Kurt Adler Buri Woodland Animal Christmas Ornaments
There’s a whole series of Kurt Adler Bury ornaments available, and these grouping is just one great example. When you go to them on Amazon, others will probably show up as suggestions so you can see which are your favorites!
While these aren’t baby animals like the last listing, they are still incredibly cute.
The animals are made with straw to give them a rustic feel. They’ll really go great if that’s your theme for eveyr Christmas or even just this year.
This set includes an squirrel, a porcupine, a skunk, and an owl. The only complaint we’ve seen about these ornaments is that sometimes they are packed wrong (eg, two of one animal and none of another). Again, if you’re looking for other woodland animals, you’re likely to find them in one of the related sets.
Christmas Inflatable Elephant With Santa Hat
Here’s a more fanciful Christmas decoration. In fact what could be more fanciful than a creature of the African savannah all dressed up for winter?
This cute inflatable elephant measures 3.5 feet tall, including its Santa hat. It’s great for in the house or on the porch. It’s probably not big enough to sit alone on the lawn; it probably wouldn’t be noticeable enough. But it does include stakes and tether ropes. We suppose it depends on the size of the yard and the entirety of your display.
There’s a light in the head to help it stand out even more. It’s LED so it’s safer and stays cooler. It also has a fan to inflate it.
Snowman and Dog Christmas Inflatable
Somehow we missed this one until after we’d published our piece on Christmas decorations featuring dogs, but we had to include it here!
This is a more irreverent take on Christmas decorations, but it definitely has its place and there are many people who will really enjoy it. And in the end, it’s realistic, isn’t it? We’ve all seen this happen, at least if we’ve lived where we can actually build a snowman.
It measures 4 feet high – not a huge piece but again, it’s good where people might be walking by rather than driving. It probably will get little notice or not be seen clearly from a car. However, it is designed for a yard and includes tie-down ropes.
It’s a lighted piece although the dog’s lifted leg isn’t lighted so a lot of the effect is lost in the dark.
The fan isn’t super, but it is sufficient to get it set up. You might have to occasionally hook it up again especially if there are a lot of temperature variations which make it appear deflated. Still, it’s definitely design to elicit laughter!
GUND Fun Christmas Snowdrop Polar Bear 18″ Plush
GUND has been a leader in the field of stuffed toys for over 100 years and they don’t disappoint with this soft and cuddlly polar bear that’s all ready for Christmas with his Santa hat!
This stuffed animal measures about 18″ long. The bear lays spread out. He’s soft and cuddly and will be a great gift or decoration.
The outer surface can be washed creafully, too. That’s especially important with it’s white fur!
Wrapping It Up
When you’re looking to brighten up your Christmas, adding decorations highlighting your favorite pet or wild animal definitely goes a long way.
