This is a beautiful hand-made piece from Project Have Hope in Uganda. This is a non-profit working for women’s empowerment in the Acholi Quarter, and sales of this item benefit them.
Each mobile has a zebra, elephant, giraffe and rhino. It’s light and basically designed to hang from the ceiling from a hook, although it may work with some mobile hangers that attach to the crib itself.
This is definitely design for the baby to look at, rather than touch. It’s beautiful although it’s not designed to be interactive.
Included is a picture of the woman who made it. It’s a great way to support women in an impoverished part of the world while also bringing something great to the nursery!
