Bats may have a special association with Halloween and vampires, but they’re actually pretty wonderful animals. Their “radar” lets them fly around even when it’s dark. They also are an important part of keeping insects under control.
They might not seem cuddly to everyone, but it’s great to include them as part of your fall decorations or even to have them as a pet – no, not a live one, but a stuffed one! The soft blue color of this bat stuffed toy set it apart and make it more fun and approachable than more realistic colors. And it will really hold on to you – it’s part of Wild Republics “Huggers” collection. These can wrap around a wrist, a bike’s handlebar, a backpack strap, or anywhere else!
We don’t think there are any “real” bats that come in this color, but we certainly haven’t seen them! Still, we’d love it if they did, because it’s really kid-friendly.
At 12 inches from wing tip to wing tip and 8 inches tall, it’s a nice size for children from toddlers on up.

This friendly fellow has a more realistic scheme, but is still unmistakably a friendly version of our favorite flying mammal.
The light brown colors in this plushie aren’t the most brilliant you’ll find, but for anyone who wants their toys to look “real”, this is definitely a great choice. Of course, is pot belly and felt fangs are a bit exaggerated but are incredible touches.
It stands about 11 inches tall and the wingspan is over 12.5 inches.
Bearington Echo Bat Stuffed Animal
Slightly smaller than the toys above, this version of a bat plushie also has a distinctive Halloween feel to it. The black and orange colors are definitely the palette of October 31!
This guy measures 7.5 inches across, so it’s more compact. It’s fantastic for all ages from one year and up.
It makes a great decoration for a Halloween party, too.
Vampire Bat Stuffed Toy
We’re not quite sure which way is up with this guy, but when you fold its wings around, this definitely seems like he’s ready to unfurl himself and bite your neck – but with a lot of love!
His eyes actually look sad, as even if he feels bad and left out. And he could surely be intimidating to those who don’t understand him. But deep down, he is just longing for a hug. And he’ll skip the kiss on the neck!
His wingspan is 6.6 inches and he’s 5.2 inches tall. All features are sewn on so it’s safe for children of all ages.

This little bat is likely to get lost in a dark room – he’s a pretty dark black! But that’s perfect for the traditional spirit of the creature.
