Lizard Statues And Decorations

You don’t have to be cold-blooded to appreciate a lizard! They may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but we know that there are many true fans of these reptiles. And since so many of the 7000 lizard species are from tropical areas, they call to mind the beach, the sound of the sea, and relaxation!

Sure, in many places, you can own a lizard like a green iguana or a bearded dragon without a problem. But whether you have a real one or not, you may still want to brighten up your home with some decorations!

We found some great wall hangings and statues that you’ll love in your entryway, bedroom, sunroom, or anywhere in your house! Here are our favorites; what are yours? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

We had to double-check, but yes, geckos are lizards! (We thought they might be amphibians – learn more about the difference here!)

Most real-life geckos aren’t as colorful as these wall-mount figures, but they’re still incredibly cute. Their wide toes that help them stick to walls are one of their most recognizable features. They also are great at insect control (and selling insurance).

The figurines here don’t disappoint for cuteness, either. Their heads even bob, adding some life to your decor!

They measure 7 2/5x 4 1/3 x 4/5inches. Each one has rings on its feet (2 rings per piece) to mount it. They can hang outside, although the paint may start to fade in just a couple of months if they’re in direct sunlit.

Sure, this piece doesn’t capture all the brilliant greens of an iguana (yes, we know there are other types of iguana, but green is the most widely known!) But this is still a fantastic piece to show off this cold-blooded creature and not worry about it wearing out even in the harshest weather conditions.

It’s not very big – only 5.5 inches high by 3 inches wide. But it’s great to sit on a railing on the deck or porch, or place it among the plants in your garden.

iRonrain Tree Hugger Sculpture Chameleon Statues

Chameleons are another favorite. Many types change their color. While many people think this is for camoflage, it seems to more depend on their emotional state!

This is a tree hugger, which means you can mount it to a tree, but it also works great on a fence or railing, or anywhere else you can attach it with screws. It measures 9.3 x 4.5x 5.1 inches. That includes the branch it’s sitting on in the image above (the tree trunk pictured is a real tree, not part of the sculpture).

LIFFY Metal Gecko Wall Decor

Andddd we’re back to geckos! This one looks a bit more artistic and formal, but is still a great piece to add to your home.

This piece measures 14.7 x 8.3 x 0.6 inches, but weighs just over a quarter of a pound, so it’s easy to mount. The whole unit is metal – the center parts are painted to appear to be glass or stones.

It’s not heavy-duty, so you have to be careful how you hang it so that it doesn’t bend. Also, it’s designed to hang vertically (as shown). You could hang it at another angle, but there are no holes in it for other positions, so you’d have to be creative.

Overall, it looks great and we’re sure that you’ll love what it adds to your room!

Iguana S Reptile Collection by Michael Carr Designs

Even the eyes look reasonably lifelike with this iguana. Again, it’s not life-sized, but it’s not too small either.

Overall, it measures 10.47 x 6.32 x 4.94 inches. There’s also a smaller version (at the same link) that’s about 7.5 inches long. It’s made of resin, so it’s relatively durable.

The scales and colors are pretty realistic for an adult iguana, although it’s a bit smaller than the real thing.

It’s an awesome decoration – or a great way to scare the living he** out of someone when you hide it where they’d least expect!

Wrapping It Up

We know that lizards aren’t everyone’s favorite four-legged friends. But for many of us, they’re absolutely charming! And there are so many ways to incorporate them (their images!!) into your decor. What’s your favorite lizard, and how have you chosen to honor it?
