It had to happen eventually. It’s been on our minds since before we even launched the site! But we’ve finally given in – so here’s our recommendations for the best flamingo lawn ornaments!
Flamingoes are absolutely beautiful animals. We love that amazing pink color! And it’s so awesome to see them standing perched on one leg.
And lawn decorations are wonderful, too. They can add style and personality to your curb appeal.
But for some reason, the two just don’t go together. Flamingo lawn ornaments smack of eccentricity, gaudiness, and most of all, tackiness!
Soemtimes, though, being tacky is thethe absolute best style you can be. You’re an individual – express it! Be unique! Be special! Have a whole FLOCK of plastic flamingoes decorating your lawn.
Art appreciation is a very personal thing, and you can’t argue taste. But we expect that there are very, very few people who view flamingo lawn ornaments as high art. Or any kind of art, for that matter. However, they make a great ironic statement. And it can be fun just to plant them in your lawn – just because they’re so out of place!

GiftExpress Set of 4, Small Pink Flamingo Yard Ornament
More is better, but sometimes it’s best to start small. We’ve tried to cover both bases with our first pick! This is the only pack on our list that includes FOUR flamingoes (the others are all two-packs). But they’re also the smallest of the bunch.
The flamingoes’ bodies measure 8 1/2 inches by 10 1/2 inches. The metal legs are 12 inches. So they’ll only rise about 21 inches above the ground once you plant them. It’s a great way to start slow and not attract too much attention right from the get-go!
These aren’t a high-quality item but can be fun. The color isn’t really “flamingo pink” and the legs aren’t really strong. But they do seem to hold up well if you get them planted in the grund without anything breaking.
Remember,they’re small, too. Don’t expect the typical lawn flamingo. It’s got the look down, but it’s a miniaturized version.
Bits and Pieces Metal Lawn Flamingoes
Ok, we’re confused here. The whole point of lawn flamingoes is that they look cheap, plastic, and tacky. But somehow, Bits and Pieces has turned that around and made beautifully formed, metal flamingo statues that have far more detail than we ever imagined!
Sure, there’s still not Michaelangelo pieces. But we love that even this “odd” art form has been given a fancier verion.
With this purchase, you’ll get two flamingoes. One has its head turned backwards, the other looks straight forward. They measure 35 1/2 inches tall and 12 1/2 inches front to back. They’re about 6 inches from side to side.
These are sturdy, but the anchoring system is unique. Rather than just stakes that stick into the ground, they have actual “webbed” feet. A U-shaped piece goes over the foot to hold it into the ground. You might need to find a similar item to hold the other foot on each flamingo, though, to help keep them from blowing over in high winds.
While most people say they hold up well, we have seen a few reports of them rusting in less than a year. However, far more have had no problems, so we’re not sure if there was a bad batch or some other issue.
Pink Flamingo Lawn Ornaments
This set of two identical flamingoes definitely meets the criteria for all we’ve ever thought about lawn flamingoes! They have that unmistakeable color and are obviously plastic from the moment you see them. And that’s part of what makes us love them!
These are relatively small at only 27 inches high including the metal “legs”. Speaking of which, you simply poke the legs into the ground.
The legs are sturdy enough that you don’t have to worry about them falling over except in very high winds.
Like the first set above, these are definitely on the small side. But they add so much lively color that we think you’ll still love them!
Black Flamingo Skeleton Lawn Ornaments
Don’t want your neighors complaining about your taste? These skeletal flamingoes may scare them off instead!
These are great for Halloween – or for any time, again depending on your personal taste. Yes, we know there are people out there who would love to have these up year-round!
This 2-pack of skeleton flamingo lawn ornaments are similar to the first entry above. The flamingo body is about 8 inches tall and 17 inches long. The legs are 17 1/2 long (and colored black, too!).
That puts them on the tiny side, but they’ll be great decorating the walkway to the front door for all the trick-or-treaters. Or to keep the grumpy HOA president from having the courage to come too close!
Bright Pink Flamingo Lawn Ornament
Our last entry is a slightly more “realistic” looking set of lawn flamingoes. Like the other entries from GiftExpress, the size is the biggest issue. But there is definitely more detail in the beautiful pink plastic!
This set of two flamingos shows a lot of detail in the feathers, even in parts like the next where they would be smaller.
These are about 16 inches long. The feet are around 18 inches. The order contains 2 flamingoes in slightly different poses.
