They might dump your trash can on a weekly basis. They might look like they’re wearing masks – and not the good kind that keep us healthy in an age of COVID. They mostly show up at night.
At the same time, they wash their hands and their food. And they have those amazing rings on their tails!
Yes, raccoons are just awesome, even when they don’t pal around with talking trees with limited vocabularies. There’s something fun and unique about these little masked bandits that rummage through the garbage. They might wake us up in the middle of the night with the clatter, but we still love them!
We’ve found some great raccoon stuffed animals. They’ll make a great gift for a child or for anyone who just adores these lovely creatures!
Aurora World Sweet and Softer 12″ Rocky Raccoon
Aurora World has another winner with this cuddly raccoon! It sits and balances with its tail as it looks out at you. It’s got quite the tummy on it, too!
As with all Aurora World products, we’ve found this to be really well put-together. It’s stuffed but there is a bean bag inside in the bottom to help it sit upright.
It’s about 9 inches tall when sitting.
Recommended for 3 years old and up.
Manhattan Toy Folksy Foresters Raccoon Stuffed Animal
This raccoon vaguely reminds us of a cartoon figure from the 80’s or 90’s, although we can’t quite place where we knot it from. We really like the look, although it’s not as realistic as others in our list.
It’s also unique in that the material is a soft corduroy. It’s a unique feel but provides a unique and pleasant sensation for young children as the cuddle with it.
This stuffed toy measures 9 inches tall when seated, and 14 inches overall from head to toe. The paws and the tail are weighted with beans to help provide balance.
Wild Republic Raccoon Plush Toy
Wild Republic is another maker of great stuffed toys and they come through yet again.
This soft and warm toy is 12 inches long from the top of his ears to the tip of his tail. That seems a little smaller than some others, but it’s still a great size.
It’s surface washable so you can easily clean it up if your toddler expresses their appreciation by slobbering all over it.
Recommended for ages 6 months and up.
Bearington Rocko Plush Stuffed Animal Raccoon
Rocko really captured us with his piercing gaze! Bearington really achieves a great effect, which we think is a combination of the eyes and the mask.
The paws and tail are weight for stability. It’s not easy to get him to sit as in the picture, but he will sit a bit more upright without a problem.
Recommended for ages 3 and up.
Douglas Ringo Raccoon Plush Stuffed Animal
This guy could be the guy from the video above, with the disappearing marshmallow. There’s something about his eyes that just expresses curiosity and amazement!
Ringo, from toymaker Douglas, measures 10 inches, not including his tail. He’s soft to the touch and to the hug. The polyester fill helps him hold his shape with regular affection.
This stuffed toy is surface washable and recommended for ages 2 and up.
Wrapping It Up
Despite – or maybe because of – their mischievousness, raccoons are incredibly cute animals and a favorite of many. Cuddling up with a plush version of one is sure to bring joy to many a child. And you surely also know an adult or two who would love to have one of these stuffed toys in their collection.
