According to legend, Saint Patrick cast the snakes out of Ireland. In reality, it appears that there never were any snakes there to begin with, and that the legend began as a figurative way of saying he got rid of evil.
Whatever the truth behind the story, we understand why we couldn’t find any snakes dressed in the green for March 17th. None with four-leafed clovers, either.
But we did find some other cute stuffed toys ready to shout “Erin Go Bragh.” Sheep are no surprise, but among the cutest were also a lot of bears – and it seems that there haven’t been any of THOSE on the Emerald Isle for about 12,000 years. But still, everyone loves a teddy bear, so we’ll go with it!
And to our shock, we even found a clover-covered dinosaur! It’s soooo cute!

This is the biggest surprise on the list, or at least it was for us! We never expected to find a dinosaur with an Irish theme!

And they’ll probably complain that no REAL dinosaur was covered with shamrocks. But you can remind them it’s a great way to celebrate March 17 and mark it as a special day!

The toy measures about 8.5 inches long. It’s recommended for ages 5 and up, although it’s safe to be enjoyed by younger children. The age recommendation is likely because of the online component to it.

The bear is 10 inches high and just over 6 inches wide. Bean bags inside help keep him sitting upright.
It might not be best for very young children. We don’t think there are any choking hazards, but it does seem that the 4 clovers he holds could easily be torn apart or out of his hands. But as a decoration or for older children, this is a wonderful piece.
